Julie Freed

I am an Associate Professor, Executive Vice Chair and Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). My NIH-funded laboratory is within the Cardiovascular Center at MCW and focuses on understanding mechanisms that regulate human microvascular reactivity during both health and disease. I oversee the collection and distribution of discarded human specimens for translational research and serve as the chair of the translational physiology interest group through the American Physiological Society. I serve as an advisor for the Therapeutic Development and Preclinical Studies scientific review panel through the Division of Translational and Clinical Studies at the NIH.
